Website Marketing Services

Why is marketing your website important? Because without marketing the site, no one will know it is there and you have no web traffic! Most often it is the 'marketing' of the website that is the number one task needed to make a website successful. Anyone with a bit of knowledge can make a website, but as the saying goes, the best website in the world doesn't matter if it isn't getting any traffic.

  • Increase your website traffic!
  • Increase your online sales!
  • Target your marketing specifically to your target market!

So how do you get more web traffic?

That is the million dollar question, quite literally, because that is what everyone is trying to do. Big money is involved because quite often the success of the company hinges on the success of the website. There is no secret formula that will guarantee any one website to achieve high rankings - it just takes some smarts and a little effort. And that is where IdahoWebpages.com comes in.

Some companies are so desperate to get website traffic, they resort to what is called 'black hat' techniques to get it. Black hat techniques are defined as any method used to "trick" the search engines to get higher rankings. IdahoWebpages.com does not use any black hat marketing techniques, nor do recommend you do so, because the results achieved are only temporary. While this may seem attractive in the short run, in the long run you may get banned from the search engines for doing it. Especially for any established business, the long term results do not match the short term gains, in our opinion.

What can IdahoWebpages.com do for you?

IdahoWebpages.com has successfully positioned companies in the top ranking of search results, and we can do the same for you.

IdahoWebpages.com can fill any marketing need; from a company willing to spend $50 thousand / year on the effort, to a small company just needing help and direction (consulting help). There are lots of different things you can do to help market your site, but the two main ways are Pay Per Click Campaigns, and Search Engine Optimization.

Pay Per Click Campaigns (PPC)

IdahoWebpages.com is intimately familiar with Google, Yahoo, and MSN PPC, and also with some of the other lesser paid search engines as well. We have keyword bidding strategies that can turn a so-so marketing campaign into a money maker. For instance, we can create an ad campaign having thousands of ad groups that are individually optimized for each keyword to get the best keyword price. Optimizing each keyword to match its ad, that then matches the webpage, ensures you get the very lowest price. Having a good landing page is also very important to ensure you convert as much of the web traffic as possible.

  • We can find you the best keywords to use in your PPC campaign
  • Create a low-cost PPC campaign that stays within budget
  • Create a landing page for your campaign for higher conversion rates
  • Optimise your complete PPC campaign - keywords, ads, and website - to ensure you get the lowest bid price on each keyword
  • Implement the needed analytical and testing software to analyze results
  • And receive $100 credit with your Google Adwords account!

Using PPC (pay per click) is usually the first option for a new website. You sign up with a search engine and put ads out, and then pay for each click on your ad. PPC will get you immediate website traffic when you have none. Also a PPC campaign often makes sense for established websites as well. Either way, you just need to evaluate the worth of your website traffic.

Calculating the worth of your website traffic is not hard to do, and it can tell you clearly whether your company should invest in a PPC campaign. For instance, if your website statistics show that 5% of all your website traffic buys your product that costs 100 dollars - that means that for every 100 visitors you get to the site, you make 500 dollars of revenue. If half that revenue is profit - $250 - then that tells you that you should be able to break even by spending 2.50 per click in a PPC campaign. Now imagine what it would be like if your pay per click campaign was set up to spend only 10 cents per click! That would be a 2,500% return on the investment.

On the other hand, your website might not be selling anything directly - you are interested in getting leads by having the website visitor fill out your web form. The same principle applies in lead generation as if you are selling a product - you should figure out what each lead is worth to you - and then set your PPC campaign up accordingly.

Search Engine Optimization

SEO is ideally the best way to get web traffic because it costs you nothing - this is the free traffic that comes with a website that a search engine likes and directs people towards. All the search engines are pointing to your website, and you get lots of traffic, and all you have to do is then figure out how to convert the traffic into a sale. Wouldn't that be nice?

We have the knowledge and experience needed to get your website noticed. It doesn't happen overnight - and don't believe anyone who says it does (some companies will "guarantee" you get a number 1 rankings - but what they really do is get you ranked for a keyword no one is looking for). SEO involves many factors, both on your site and off, and requires some skill to get done right. To make matters worse - the search engines like Google keep changing the rules of the game.

If you are interested in finding out more about SEO, you can read all it in the SEO Guide, which I have found to be a good resource.

Good SEO takes committment and steady progress over time, and all the short-cuts are temporary at best - at worst you will get penalized for cheating by Google. This is because Google and other search engines are continually updating the way they rank the search engine results so that only the best websites are returned to the user. Those websites that base their high rankings on shoddy or questionable practices, can quickly disappear off the search engine results pages (serp) as soon as they are discovered. So before hiring an SEO company to fix your website, it is wise to know how they intend to do it.

The Bottom Line

I would say that all things being equal, a typical marketing effort for a new website goes like this;

    1) You start off with pay per click at first to get some immediate traffic,

    2) All the while you are also working on your website SEO so that over time, the natural traffic (free traffic) will over-take your paid traffic.

And come to think of it, the same steps apply to existing websites too! This is because the SEO on a website is never finished. As a wise old man once said - you should always be incrementally improving your website.
